PadhPlay privacy policy

In short
PadhPlay keeps your child's rules, screen time and answers on the phone. There are no ads and no data is sold. Every phone sends crash reports so we can fix bugs. Usage insights (which apps your child uses and for how long) are sent only if you allow them.
What PadhPlay stores on the phone
- The rules you set: which apps are locked, free minutes, questions and minutes per lesson, daily limit, class and language.
- Your parent PIN, only as a salted one-way hash, so it cannot be read back.
- Minutes used today in locked apps.
- For each lesson topic, how many questions your child tried and got right, and which questions were asked recently, so questions do not repeat and weak topics get more practice.
What PadhPlay looks at but does not keep
- Usage access: the name of the app currently on screen, to decide whether to show a lesson. PadhPlay does not see what happens inside any app.
- The list of apps installed on the phone, shown to you when you choose apps to lock.
- Lessons are spoken by the phone's own text-to-speech engine.
- When PadhPlay was installed from Google Play, it asks the Play Store app whether an update is available.
Sent from every phone, to fix bugs and keep protection working
- Crash and error reports: what went wrong inside PadhPlay, when and why Android closed it (for example low memory or a battery saver), the last few PadhPlay screens or actions before that, and whether protection had to restart.
- The phone's make, model, Android version, language and time zone, and PadhPlay's version.
- The internet (IP) address the phone connects from, which our server records with each connection.
- A random install ID that PadhPlay creates, and Android's device ID (ANDROID_ID). They let us recognise the same phone after PadhPlay is reinstalled or its data is cleared, keep it linked to your child, and show you that a reset happened. They are never used for ads and never shared.
These reports contain no app names and nothing your child typed or said.
Usage insights, only if you allow them
- Names of the apps your child opens and that you lock, minutes used in each, and how often the lock appears.
- Lesson results: class, subjects, how many answers were right and how long it took.
- Which PadhPlay screens and settings are used, including wrong PIN tries.
They show you charts on this website, power screen-time controls such as slowly reducing YouTube time, and help us improve PadhPlay. Switch them off any time in PadhPlay → Settings → Share usage insights; that stops sending and deletes insights still waiting on the phone.
If you link a parent account (optional)
- Your account: your email address, your name if you give it, and your password, stored only as a hash. A parent PIN you set on this website is also stored only as a hash; linked phones receive a one-way check value (never the PIN itself) so they can check the PIN without internet.
- Each child profile you add: the name you type and their class.
- Each linked phone: the details above, and a secret the phone and our server share to make parent access codes for resetting a forgotten PIN.
- Feedback you send us, the main problem you tell us about and your votes on feature ideas.
What PadhPlay never collects
Photos, contacts, location, messages, microphone or camera input, browsing history, advertising ID, or anything that happens inside other apps.
Sharing
PadhPlay does not sell data, show ads or share data with anyone.
How long we keep it
Crash reports, and the copies of usage insights we use to improve PadhPlay, are deleted after 180 days. The data behind your charts is kept while your account exists and is deleted with it.
Children
PadhPlay is made for children aged 5 to 12 and is set up by a parent. Only a parent can create an account or allow usage insights; children never sign in or type personal information.
Deleting your data
- On the phone: open PadhPlay → Settings → Delete data on this phone, or uninstall PadhPlay. PadhPlay is excluded from Android backups, so no copy stays in your Google account.
- Your parent account: open PadhPlay → Settings → Delete parent account, or sign in at padhplay.gpmstech.com/account/delete/. This permanently deletes your account, child profiles, linked phones, charts and usage insights from our server. Crash reports are not linked to your account and are deleted after 180 days. If you cannot sign in, email support@gpmstech.com from your account email.
Changes to this policy
If PadhPlay starts sending anything else, this policy will be updated first and the app will tell you.
